At your location: Professional Guided Astronomy Tour

Arizona is a wonderful place to view celestial objects due to its clear dry desert air. With Northern Arizona specifically world renown for its exceedingly low light pollution, our eyes are able to capture far more vast celestial bodies as well as get a better clear view of those stars and planets we already know and love.

In 2001, Flagstaff was designated the world’s first International Dark Sky City on Oct. 24. This year, Flagstaff was again awarded the Prestigious Dark Sky Award from the Dark Sky International. The Flagstaff Dark Sky Coalition monitors new city builds, projects, and anything that would affect possible light pollution in order to keep our night skies clear and bright. Flagstaff is home to Lowell Observatory famous for being the place where Pluto was discovered. Northern Arizona also encompasses the US Naval Observatory Flagstaff Station and Camp Navajo. Each of these places need low light pollution for scientific research, military research and operations, and training. Included in the needs that the Coalition protects is Astro tourism and that's where we come in.

With these elevated conditions, we are able to take you on a professionally guided  tour of the celestial night skies to take in the beauty of the cosmos. We will explore the stars, planets, galaxies, and constellations that make Arizona one of the best places on Earth for stargazing.
